Course Information:

Textbook: Linear Algebra with Application, Leon Steven.

We will cover through the middle of Chapter~6. You can also use 8th edition, some homework problems will have different numbers, it will be noted in the assignments.

Grading Policy:

Homework: 30%; Exam 1&2: 20% each; Final exam: 30%.

Final grades will be determined by:

This scale may be rescaled at the end of the semester to be more lenient.

 

Make-Up Policy:

The daily homework assignments are the main part of the course. Homework will be collected once week on Friday, except the first one and the exam week. First collection is Wed Jan 16th. TWO lowest homework will be dropped. No late homework will be graded, and there will be a penalty on the credits. NO MAKE-UP for EXAMS in general. Missed exams will count as 0 points. Only under rare circumstances (such as illness with a doctor's written excuse) will a make-up exam be given.
