The Fitting Submodule

Abstract:

Let H be a finite group and V a finite dimensional H-module. In this paper we use the concept of the generalized Fitting subgroup of a finite group as model for our defintion of the Fitting module FV(H). Among other things we prove:

Suppose V is faithful and reduced. Then FV(H)/RV(H) is faithful and semisimple.
