The minutes for the previous meeting on April 26, 2005 were read and accepted. |
7:10 p.m. - Patrol Reports (given by
Patrol Leaders) |

Senior Patrol Leader Ethan reported that the Irish meal which Troop 272
served on Saturday evening at the Mawanjidiwin District Spring Camporee
went very well. He said that we split the troop up into three groups on Saturday in order to be able to prepare
this meal: |

- two Scouts - cooking our Irish meal
- two Scouts - running our Gaelic Football game
- two Scouts - attending the other games
|
|
Ethan reported that Troop 272 won two of these other games: |
|
- Mexico: Bean Drop
- Poland: Blind Woman
|
|
Ethan also reported that our guest at the Irish meal gave us zero points
out of the 25 points awarded for providing a mess kit for the guest at this meal. He had gone to
get his own mess kit, even though we had pointed out to him that we had one available for him. |
7:25 p.m. - Old business (led by SPL) |
|
Senior Patrol Leader Ethan reported that Troop 272 was interested in Mr. Ralph
Goff's offer to teach us how to play the harmonica. Mr. Cunningham agreed to invite Mr. Goff to attend
our troop meeting on June 14 to start his harmonica lessons with our troop. |
7:40 p.m. - Big event/monthly outing planning (led by

Mr. Cunningham agreed to confirm the alternative campsite with Mr. Paul Trisel. |
|
The Scoutmaster reported that he had filed a request at Wal-Mart on Friday, June 20, to conduct a
car-wash fundraiser at their store on Saturday, June 25. He said that Wal-Mart told him that it would take about two weeks to
process the request, and that they would let us know if the request had been approved. |
7:55 p.m. Troop Meeting Planning (led by
SPL) |

Senior Patrol Leader Ethan planned the troop meetings for
June: |

- Troop Meeting - June 7, 2005
|
|
It was agreed to replace the Troop Meeting on June 7 with a
Court of Honor. The Scoutmaster
agreed to prepare a script for this
Court of Honor. It was agreed that
Mrs. Butler and Mrs. Truelove would be asked to provide refreshments for this
Court of Honor. It was also agreed to ask
Mr. Goff to play an appropriate tune on his harmonica at this
Court of Honor. |

It was agreed to cancel the Recruitment
Night on Tuesday evening, June 21. Senior Patrol Leader Ethan pointed out that
we were going to be too busy preparing for the Fenner Nature Center/Wal-Mart Fundraiser
outing to be able to entertain any guests that evening. |

Our troop calendar for the first
Tuesday of each month calls for either a Troop Meeting, a Troop
Meeting/Board of Review, or a Court of Honor. It was agreed to change
our troop calendar for the
first Tuesdays of each of the remaining months of this year as follows:

- Troop Meeting, July 5, 2005
- Troop Meeting/Board of Review, August 2, 2005
- Court of Honor, September 6, 2005
- Troop Meeting, October 4, 2005
- Troop Meeting/Board of Review, November 8, 2005
- Court of Honor, December 6, 2005

It was agreed that Mr. Cunningham and Mr. Walsh would provide
the required two-deep leadership for the Troop Meeting on July 5, and that Rising Sun Patrol
Leader Michael would be asked to lead this meeting. The Scoutmaster and Senior Patrol Leader
Ethan will be away at the Manistee River High Adventure
outing that week. |

The next PLC meeting was scheduled for
Tuesday, June 28, 2005. |
