Senior Patrol Leader Ethan reported on the
Eagle Scout & Volunteer Recognition
Dinner, the Eagle Bound Merit Badge
Blitz, and the Eagle Scout
Court of Honor. He said that the dinner was an enjoyable event,
attended by several persons from our troop (Ethan, Dr. McCarthy, Mr. and
Mrs. Cunningham, Steven McCarthy, and Chris Cunningham). Steven McCarthy
and Chris Cunningham were among the several Scouts from the Chief Okemos
Council who were recognized at this dinner for attaining the rank of
Eagle Scout in 2004. Ethan reporte that he made substantial progress on
the Computers and Family Life merit badges at the blitz. Nathan reported
that he made substantial progress on the Crime Prevention and First Aid
merit badges and completed the Fingerprinting Merit Badge at this blitz.

Ethan reported that he made a flyer for the
Recruitment Night.
Nathan agreed to make door hangers for the Bottle Drive using materials which Mrs.
Truelove will contribute to our troop. |

The PLC discussed the:

The PLC agreed to conduct a five-mile hike
and one-mile orienteering course at this event. The one-mile
orienteering course is to be combined with the five-mile hike. The five-mile hike will begin at
the organizational campground. From this point, the Scouts will hike
eastward along the boardwalk around the northern end of Long Lake;
southward along the eastern side of Long Lake to the entrance to Hall
Lake at Gun Lake Road; northeasterly along the western side of Hall Lake
towards Devil's Soup Bowl; and westward back to the organizational
campground via the boardwalk on the northern end of Long Lake. |
