I was born and raised in Kiryat-Ono, Israel. I am married to Shira Chapman (née Tordjman) who is a high energy physicist (and an excellent violinist). Music is my main hobby - I play the cello, piano and to a lesser extent also the (ordinary) viola and the viola da gamba. I also like reading, hiking, swimming and running.
