| International Conference on Mathematical Modeling and Computation May 16-19, 2013, Wuhan, China | This International Conference will focus on mathematical modeling and computation. It will be held at Wuhan University, Wuhan, China from May 16 to 19, 2013. | This conference will feature leading experts on mathematical modeling and computation from the United States, China, and other countries. It will involve advanced graduate students and recent Ph.D.'s. This conference intends to provide a forum for exchanging ideas and disseminating results in computational/applied mathematics and foster the interaction and collaboration between mathematicians and scientists from other disciplines, and between mathematicians from USA and China. | Themes of this conference will include but not limited to: 1) Numerical methods for scientific computing, optimization, and high performance computing; 2) Modeling and computation of condense matter materials, soft matter and complex fluids; 3) Modeling and computation of nano-fluidic systems and nano-electronic devices; 4) Modeling and computation of complex systems in biological and biomedical sciences; 5) Multiscale and stochastic methods for science and engineering; and 6) Analytic methods for partial differential equations, applied analysis, and applied dynamical systems. | This conference is partial supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF). The NSF fund will be primarily used to partially support junior attendees and participants from under-represented groups such as female researchers and minorities. If you are interested in attending this conference and need more information, please feel free to email one of the organizers, chenhua@whu.edu.cn, wei@math.msu.edu, zjyang.math@whu.edu.cn, xxye@ualr.edu. We may request a research statement and a reference letter from your supervisor. | Sponsors: National Science Foundation of the US (Pending) School of Mathematics and Statistics, Wuhan University | |
