Summary of Troop Events, 2000-2001

Our regular monthly events for 2000-2001 were as follows:

• 2 CCP Scouting Mornings
• 1 Evening Troop Meeting
• 1 Patrol Leaders' Council Meeting
• 1 CCP Family Night
• 1 Weekend Outing, Friday-Sunday (3 days)
• 1 Troop Committee Meeting
• 1 Roundtable

Not all of the above events occurred each month. When they did, this gave us a total of 10 days of events in a month. The last two events were only intended for our adult leaders. However, even if we do not count these two events, this still amounts to 8 days of events in a month.

In addition to the above events, there were special activities that arose from time to time:

• 1 Polar Bear Outing (February)
• 1 High Adventure Planning Meeting (March)
• 1 High Adventure Planning Meeting (June)
• 1 High Adventure Outing Meal Planning Meeting (July)
• 1 High Adventure Outing (August)
• 1 Troop Planning Conference (August)
• 1 CCP Picnic (August)
• 2 CCP Planning Meetings
• 2 CCP Leaders' Meetings
• 4 Boards of Review
• 1 Special Board of Review for Tenderfoot
• 4 Courts of Honor

All these activities amounted to several days of events in a given month.

While we did much better this year than we did in the previous year, I believe that we still need to be concerned about overextending ourselves as a troop in 2001-2002.
