Unless otherwise stated, events on this calendar will take place at TrinityUnited Methodist Church at 7533 West St. Joseph Highway in Lansing.

Please note that, due to the policy regarding Scouting Morning described above, since there is a CCP Scouting Morning on Thursday, February 1, there is also a Scouting Morning Makeup on Tuesday, January 30. See the schedule for February below.

* Evening Troop Meetings are scheduled from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday eveningsaccording to this calendar.

** We will be joining Troops 33, 92 and 586 on this "quad" outing, which is being hosted by Troop 33.

*** CCP Scouting Morning is a CCP activity which begins at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday mornings according to the CCP Calendar . There will be a troop meeting at each CCP Scouting Morning. Scouts in Troop 316 who do not regularly attend Scouting Morning are expected to regularly attend Scouting Morning Makeups. Scouting Morning Makeups will meet from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday evenings in weeks on which a Scouting Morning is scheduled.

**** Patrol Leaders Council Meetings are scheduled from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday evenings according to this calendar. According to the BSA Junior Leader Handbook, the Patrol Leaders Council is the "decision-making team. The Patrol Leaders Council plans the annual program, then the weekly meetings (i.e. Troop Meetings at CCP Scouting Morning and Evening Troop Meetings) leading up to the monthly outdoor adventure."

***** CCP Family Night is a CCP Activity which begins at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday evenings according to the CCP Calendar . CCP Family Night is a Troop Activity and each Scout should wear his uniform to this activity.

** We hope to campout overnight on Saturday night to complete the Polar Bear Award Requirements in the Chief Okemos Council.

*** We will be welcoming the second year Webelos of the Lightning Patrol toTroop 316 at the WebelosCrossover , which will be conducted by the Lightning Patrol.

* Two of our quarterly courts of honor are scheduled to take place during aTroop Committee meeting.

** We hope to conduct an orientation on Northwoods SummerResident Camp 2001 after the Court of Honor for the parents of Scouts who will be attending this camp in June.

*** We hope to cover most of the first aid advancement requirements forTenderfoot, Second Class and First Class ranks. This event will be heldconcurrently with the CCP Science Fair at the Holderread's church, BethlehemLutheran Church in Lansing, at 549 E. Mount Hope (on the corner of Ray and MountHope, between Cedar and Pennsylvania). We will have the lower level social halland two classrooms from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please park on the north side ofthe building near Ray street. Thank you Nancy & Dave Holderread!

**** This event, while not a regular troop meeting, will take place at TrinityUnited Methodist Church from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. We will meet withScoutmaster Kleiver of Troop 33 to plan for the High Adventure Outing on August 6-10, 2001. Scoutmaster Kleiver of Troop 33 will be our guide on this outing. Only Scouts who are at First Class rank or above and are at least 13 years old will be able to attend this outing. Scouts who are not planning on attending this outing should not attend this meeting, which will be devoted entirely to planning for this outing.

April - Fishing

* This event is scheduled from Saturday morning until after supper. From 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon, we plan to distribute flyers in Potterville announcing the Scouting for Food drive, our service project, which isscheduled for Saturday, April 21. After a sack lunch, we plan to go fishing at one of the nearby lakes, and clean and cook the fish we catch for supper.

** We plan to collect food in Potterville for the Scouting for Food drive from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.

** We plan to stay at the Optimist Youth Camp on the north end of Charlotte for a weekend of bicycling with our friends from Troops 33, 92, 585 and 586.

*** The purpose of this event is to increase membership in Troop316. We intend to have a pizza party and play soccer.

**** Please note that this particular Patrol Leaders Council Meeting is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, rather than Tuesday, at the usual place, Trinity United Methodist Church, and time, from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

* We are planning to conduct Boards of Review for advancement to Tenderfoot Rank at Trinity United Methodist Church from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

** This meeting is scheduled to take place from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. atFitzgerald Park in Grand Ledge. Scoutmaster Jim Kleiver of Troop 33 will beconducting a "shakedown" (i.e. inspection) in preparation for the High Adventure Outing on August 6-10. The"shakedown" will be followed by a demonstration of backpacking stoves to prepare lunch.

*** We will be helping out at this event by running the carson the tracks and keeping the younger children occupied with funand games.

**** We have reserved the Delaware campsite at Northwoods .

* This event will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the Scoutmaster's home. We plan to conduct a bottle drive in the Holt Area from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m..

** This event is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church. The Scouts who are attending the High Adventure Outing on August 6-9, 2001 will be planning the patrol meals for this outing. Only Scouts who are at First Class rank or above and are at least 13 years old will be able to attend this outing.

* Scoutmaster Kleiver of Troop 33 will be our guide on this outing. OnlyScouts who are at First Class rank or above and are at least 13 years old will beable to attend this outing.

** This event will take place from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Trinity UnitedMethodist Church. At this event, each Scout in Troop 316 will be reviewedregardless of whether he is ready to advance in rank. We will conduct a troopelection for senior patrol leader and patrol elections for patrol leaders(Anaconda Patrol and Lightning Patrol). We will also conduct an orientationregarding our annual Planning Conference (see below).

*** This event will take place from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at TrinityUnited Methodist Church. We will recognize our Scouts for rank advancementsearned since our last Court of Honor and for Merit Badges earned at Northwoods.We will also conduct patrol meetings to gather input for our annual Planning Conference (see below).

**** This conference is scheduled to run from 8:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at theScoutmaster's home. It will be conducted as a Patrol Leaders Council Meeting by the newly installed Patrol Leaders Council . As with all Patrol Leaders Council Meetings, the Troop Scribe is expected to attend this conference. Scouts, other than the Troop Scribe, who are not on the Patrol Leaders Council should not attendthis conference. Their input will have been gathered at the patrol meetings onTuesday, August 21, 2001.
