Job description: The Venture patrol leader is the elected leader of his Venture patrol. He represents his patrol on the patrol leaders' council.
Reports to: the assistant Scoutmaster/Venture.
Patrol leader duties:
  • Provides leadership for the selected high-adventure activities or sports
  • Keeps Venture patrol members informed
  • Represents the Venture patrol at patrol leaders' council meetings
  • Encourages Venture patrol members to take part in all troop activities
  • Locates and secures resources necessary for the Venture patrol activities
  • Develops Venture patrol spirit and control
  • Works with other troop leaders to make the troop run well
  • Sets the example
  • Wears the uniform correctly
  • Lives by the Scout Oath and Law
  • Shows Scout spirit
