A SCOUT IS OBEDIENT
(adapted from "Woods Wisdom - Scoutmaster's Minutes")
What's the seventh point of the Scout Law? (pause for an answer)
That's right, "A Scout is obedient."
Our handbook says, "A Scout follows the rules of his family, school, and troop. He obeys the laws of his community and country."
The handbook rightly goes on to add, "Obedience must be guided by good judgment. If someone tells you to cheat, steal, or do something else you know is wrong, you must say no."
But don't be easy on yourself by deciding to disobey whatever laws you don't like, no matter how unfair you might think they might be.
