| The PLC met briefly during the regular troop meeting on Tuesday evening, October 21, 2003 to discuss plans for the Troop Open House. |
| Dr. McCarthy reported on his conversation with Mawanjidiwin District Executive Jason Kerschke earlier that day. He reported that Mr. Kerschke provided him with a list of fourteen boys who had been Webelos with Cub Scout Pack 640. Mr. Kerschke pointed out that this pack has ties to Horizon Elementary School and confirmed that Lori Zajac is involved with this pack. Mr. Kerschke said that the Cub Scouts in this pack attend Horizon Elementary School, but that the pack might be meeting at Washington Woods. |
| Dr. McCarthy also reported that he asked Mr. Kerschke about contacting
the other Cub Scout packs in Holt. Mr. Kerschke indicated that he would prefer that we focus on Cub Scout Pack 640. He pointed out that at least two other
packs in Holt already have relations with other troops in Holt. In addition, he mentioned that he had given another troop in Holt a list of names from one of the other packs for them to contact. Apparently, Mr. Kerschke is trying to coordinate the efforts of the various troops in Holt to reach out to the various packs in Holt. |
| Dr. McCarthy also reported that Mrs. McCarthy had provided him with a list of approximately 10 names of boys who should be invited to the Troop Open House. Hence, we now have about 24 boys that we should invite to the Troop Open House. |
| Dr. McCarthy agreed to contact Lori Zajac. He also agreed to contact Mr. Allen Selis to invite him and his son, Aaron Selis, to attend the Troop Open House. Steven mentioned that Aaron had previously shown some interest in possibly transferring from Troop 316 to Troop 272. |
| Mr. Cunningham reported that Olivet Baptist Church has granted us permission to conduct the Troop Open House at Olivet Baptist Church on Tuesday evening, November 18. The PLC rescheduled the Troop Open House for this time. |
