Murphy Patrol Leader Ethan McCarthy reported on the Camp Rotary Cope Course outing. |
| 7:25 p.m. - Old business (led by SPL) |

Dr. McCarthy reported on his conversation with
Mawanjidiwin District Executive Jason Kerschke regarding recruitment. He reported that Mr. Kerschke was sympathetic with the situation in Troop 272 at this time; was optimistic for the future of Scouting in Holt; encouraged us to make contact with the active packs in the five elementary schools in Holt; was willing to help to advertise Troop Open Houses in Holt with the distribution of a flyer; and indicated that there was some possibility that the Council might take into account extenuating circumstances with regard to our rechartering in December, particularly if there was some clear promise that the Troop would grow in the near future (e.g. through Webelos crossovers in February of 2004). |

The PLC made some further plans regarding the agenda for the Troop Open House on October 21, 2003. |

The PLC decided that our plans to attend the Mawanjidiwin District Fall Camporee would be cancelled provided that Olivet
permits us to conduct a Preparation for Troop Open House event on Friday-Saturday, October 17-18, 2003. Mr. Cunningham agreed to ask Olivet for permission to conduct this "Prep" event. |
