Clear the Halyards
Post the Colors - CAMP SALUTE (At this command, the American flag is raised fast and both other flags are raised slow.)
Ready ..... Two (This command is given as soon as the American flag is at the top of the pole.)
(When all three halyards are secured, the color guard members return to attention and face the flag poles)Color Guard Left --- Face

Retrieve the Colors - CAMP SALUTE (At this command, the American flag is lowered slowly and both other flags are lowered fast.)
Ready ..... Two (This command is given as soon as the 2nd snap is undone on the American flag.)
(When all three halyards are secured, the color guard members return to attention and face the flag poles.)Color Guard Left --- Face

Note: If the ceremony has bugle or recorder music, such as the "Star Spangled Banner", the hand salute is held until the end of the musical accompaniment. When a member of the flag honor guard is not involved with the actual act of lowering or raising a flag, they will come to attention and salute the American flag.
