Below is a typical flyer for the Scouting for Food Drive. Please note that the flyer which we distribute may differ in some respects from this typical flyer.
Scouting for Food is a Boy Scout Good Turn held annually to celebrate Boy Scouts Anniversary.
Food collected during this drive will be given to emergency food pantries in our community to help our fellow citizens in need.
We need your help with this service projecting by donating non-perishable food items. Following are some suggested items for your donation:
  • Canned goods - meats, stews, pasta w/ meat, soups, peanut butter & jelly
  • Staple items - cereals, pasta
  • Baby food
Please do not donate items that spoil easily or that require refrigeration.
The Scout who left this flyer will return to your home next Saturday to collect your donation. Please put food items in a plastic grocery bag and place them on your front porch by 9:00 a.m.. The Scout will stop by before noon to pick up your donation.
