Saturday, April 12, 2003 - Food Collection in Charlotte

We plan to distribute flyers for the Scouting for Food drive in the neighborhood of Charlotte Christian Reformed Church during the Troop Meeting on Tuesday evening, April 8. Four days later, on Saturday, April 12, we plan to return to this neighborhood to conduct the Scouting for Food drive from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.. All the food which we collect at this time will be brought to the Helping Hands emergency food pantry at 600 S. Cochran in Charlotte.

The neighborhood which we plan to canvass is the neighborhood in the map below bounded by State Street on the West, West Shepherd Street on the south, Lincoln Street on the east, and Cherry Street on the north. This neighborhood includes Mikesell Street, Bonnie Street, Walnut Street, and Linden Street.
