(For previous messages: link) 06/22 - We reviewed proof of Theorem 6.27 and covered Sections 7.2, 7.4 (only Thm 7.11 and 7.14). On Monday, June 25, there will be Quiz 5 covering the topics of Homework 7: Sections 6.1, 6.2 (Thm 6.9 excluded), 6.6 (up to Def. 6.21 excluded). We will then briefly discuss Section 8.1 (it will be not in the Final Exam) and finally there will be the first Review Session for the Final Exam untill the end of class. On Tuesday, June 26, from 12:30 to 2:00 pm, in room C208 Wells Hall, just beside the usual classroom, there will be the last Review session for the Final Exam . I handed out Homework 8 with due date Monday, June 25. Exercise 7, 8 and 9 are no more required. I remind you also that the new policy for the Homework assignments is that the three lowest scores will be dropped. Suggested (not required) exercises:Exercises 1(b),(d) on page 276;Exercise 4 on page 287;Exercise 3 on page 300.
06/25 - On Wednesday, June 27, there will be the Final Exam from 10:20 to 12:20 am in C207 WH (classroom). On Tuesday, June 26, from 12:30 to 2:00 pm, in room C208 Wells Hall, just beside the usual classroom, there will be
the last Review session for the Final Exam.
