There will be talks on Saturday and Sunday. The conference begins at 9 AM Saturday and ends at 1 PM on Sunday. All talks will be held in B122 Wells Hall. The building address is 619 Red Cedar Road, East Lansing. Wells Hall is a nice 0.7 mile walk through campus from the Marriott. For those who wish to drive, parking information is provided below.

Lodging

We have arranged for a discounted rate at the East Lansing Marriott. The conference rate is $143 per night. To reserve a room at this rate, the link is here. Rooms at this rate need to be booked by April 19th.

Participants who are requesting funding to attend the conference should make an effort to share hotel rooms.

Other hotels near campus include the Towneplace Suites and the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center, but we do not have special rates arranged for these hotels.

Travel

By Car:  East Lansing is within driving range of many places in the Midwest.

By Plane: Nearby airports including Lansing (LAN), Detroit (DTW), Grand Rapids (GRR), and Flint (FNT). The Lansing airport is a short cab or Lyft ride from campus. If you fly into Detroit you can rent a car to drive to East Lansing, or there is a bus shuttle to East Lansing, called the Michigan Flyer. If you fly into Grand Rapids or Flint you will need to rent a car to get to East Lansing.

By Train: There is Amtrak service to East Lansing. The Amtrak station is on the southwest corner of campus.

Parking

Free parking is available on campus near Wells Hall (lots 79 and 39) on the weekends. The building address is 619 Red Cedar Road, East Lansing. Note that there is construction on Red Cedar Road. The best way to get to lots 79 and 39 is from Shaw lane. A campus map with labelled parking lots can be found here.

Funding

Some funds will be available to support travel costs and lodging of participants, especially for graduate students and junior faculty without other support. To apply for funding, please fill out the registration form and indicate that you would like to be considered for financial support. The deadline to apply for funding is April 1st .
