Background

I am a postdoc in the math department at MSU. During the 2017-2018 academic year I will be visiting the Rényi Institute of Mathematics in Budapest, Hungary. I obtained my PhD from the University of Texas at Austin in 2015.

Research

My research is in low-dimensional topology. In particular, I am interested in the theory of smooth 4–manifolds and its connections to knot theory and 3–manifolds.

You can download my papers on the arXiv, or download my CV.

Teaching

During the 2016-2017 academic year I taught three sections of MTH 132.
